Weekly Update - 4/20/26

Good Afternoon,

Thank you to all for braving the elements this past weekend and cheering our athletes along to a pretty dominating day of racing against Pioneer!

Please see below regarding important changes and updates pertaining to this weekend's regatta.

Unfortunately, due to high river water levels and flooding, the Grand Rapids Invitational scheduled for this weekend, 4/25/2026, has been CANCELLED.

However, we have some great news! We are going to pivot and attend the Kensington Sprints on 4/25/2026 located at the Kathryn Bennett Race Course at Kensington MetroPark in Milford, MI.

Getting There: Kensington MetroPark Entrances

*The MetroPark requires an entrance fee. It is $10 for a day pass or $40 for an annual pass. They accept cash and card. Due to the entry fee and booths, we suggest you arrive early to avoid long lines and waiting.

Site Host Requirement - Parent Volunteers:

We are required to provide 5 parent volunteers to assist with various shifts. We have 4 parents at the moment. Please consider signing up to help and let Coach Emma if you are interested. See the Whatsapp Chat for details.

Vendors:

There will be merch for sale as well as various vendors serving food and beverages. Most will only accept credit card.
