This weekend Huron Rowing will be participating in the Midwest Scholastic Rowing Championships.

WEEKLY UPDATE TOPICS:

MIDWEST SCHOLASTIC ROWING CHAMPIONSHIPS
Saturday, May 9th, 2025 & *Sunday, May 10th, 2025
*Yes, we know Sunday is Mother's Day. BUT, have no fear, Moms. Huron Rowing has got you covered. Regatta Support will be providing a very special Mother's Day brunch and faux-mosas for all of our moms to celebrate you on this very special day. We will also have a fun photo opportunity for all moms and their athletes.
Midwest is our largest and most competitive regatta of the year. When our coaches plan for the Spring Season, the practices and regattas are focused on preparing our team for peak performance at the Midwest. This year there are 48 clubs competing from PA, OH, IN, TN, IL, WV, MO and of course, MI.
**Unlike previous regattas this season, Midwest is a two-day regatta.**
SATURDAY - Athlete Arrival Time
6:30 AM - Athletes should be dropped off at the Maple Beach Parking Lot. Athletes will then report to the boat trailer. *Note, there will be no spectator parking available at the Maple Beach Lot except handicap parking.
A google/map pin will be shared in Whatsapp once the trailer has been dropped off.
SUNDAY - Athlete Arrival Time:
Tentatively, 7:00am *Coaches will be able to provide a more accurate time for arrival at the end of racing on Saturday.

Kathryn Bennett Race Course at Maple Beach, Kensington Metropark - Milford, MI

PARKING FEE:
A vehicle pass is required to enter the park. $10/day or $45/annual
We suggest you arrive early as entry into the park on race days can become quite bottle necked.
Cash & Credit Card payments are accepted.
PARKING:
Once again, please note, Spectator Parking will not be allowed at the Maple Beach Lot. (Except Handicap Parking)
NO Parking at the Marina Parking Lot.

We have not received this information yet and will share it in Whatsapp when it becomes available.
REGATTA SUPPORT VOLUNTEERS:
This will be shared tomorrow (Wednesday) afternoon in Whatsapp.
*Please note, Mom's you should NOT be signing up to volunteer at regatta support on Mother's Day!*
OTHER MISCELLANEOUS INFORMATION:
-Food & Many Swag Vendors will be onsite.
-Public Restrooms & Porta Johns will be onsite.
