Weekly Update - 5/11/26

We hope everyone is fully recovered from the long weekend at Midwest. We are proud of all of our athletes' efforts and once again want to congratulate our Women's Varsity 4 for qualifying for SRAA. Please take a few minutes to review important information regarding this weekend's regatta - The Michigan Scholastic Rowing Association State Championships.

UPCOMING IMPORTANT DATES:

Spring Banquet - Tuesday, June 2nd, 2026 - Huron High School Cafeteria. We are currently developing a planning committee. If interested, please contract [email protected]
HRA Board Positions - The deadline to express interest in HRA Board positions is Friday, May 15^th,2026. If interested, please contract [email protected]
Team Uniform Store & Order Window -: We will soon be opening the Team Uniform Store through JL Rowing for a window of time. We will share this information in a separate email, but please be aware if you currently have a novice rower who will be transitioning to Varsity, Fall 2026, they will need a uni and yellow tech shirt. If you currently have a Varsity Rower and a larger size is needed, this will also be your chance to submit another order. If you have questions whether you should submit an order for your athlete, please consult your coach. Additionally, for anyone on the team interested, we will also have the splash jackets available for purchase. Stay tuned for updates.

MICHIGAN SCHOLASTIC ROWING ASSOCIATION STATE CHAMPIONSHIPS

Date: Saturday, May 16^th, 2026

Athlete Report Time: 6:30am – Boat Trailer

Location: Kathryn Bennett Racecourse - Maple Beach, Kensington Metropark - Milford, MI

Parking:

-A vehicle pass is required to enter the park. $10/day or $45/annual - Cash & Credit Card payments are accepted.

-We suggest you arrive early as entry into the park on race days can become quite bottle necked.

-No parking at the Marina.

-Minimal parking is available in the Maple Beach lot so please plan accordingly. Plan on athlete drop off at Maple Beach and likely needing to park in the event spectator parking lot off the Potawatomi Trail/Possum Hollow Area (Same areas as Midwest).

Team Tent:

Huron Rowing has been assigned sites 118, 119 and 120. Please see the map below.
