Step 5. Pay HRA Assessment
The minimum assessment is $500. The actual assessment is $575. The spring dues are SEPARATE from the fall dues. If you paid in the fall, you still need to pay this in the spring as we have new regatta fees, rent, etc in the spring.
Please note, the minimum assessment covers only the most basic of fixed costs (insurance, boathouse rent, etc.). The actual assessment covers all fixed and variable costs (regatta expenses, salaries, travel, etc.)
A limited number of scholarships are available. Please download the Scholarship Application
Step 1. Complete the HRA Roster
Huron Rowing Association (HRA) Roster and Emergency Contact Form
We collect up-to-date information for all rowers and at least one parent/guardian each season to facilitate team communications (practice times, regatta information, clothing orders, establishing carpools, emergency contact, etc.). *Be sure to read both the HRA Code of Conduct Policy and the HRA Financial Commitment Policy. Submitting this form indicates that both the rower and the rower's parents agree to the terms of both policies.
Step 2. Complete the Pay to Participate (P2P) with Ann Arbor Rec & Ed (Huron, CHS, ECA, WiHi students only)
The action required depends on what you have already paid during the current school year.
Please see the options below:
Rowers who rowed in the fall, or played different fall or winter Sport
If you paid the $265 P2P and Insurance Fee, no further action is needed for this section. You only pay this ONCE per year.
If Spring Crew is your first sport of the year, you must pay the P2P Sport AND Insurance Fee:
Follow instructions at https://www.a2schools.org/PTP for Huron High School
Once you receive your confirmation email from Rec & Ed, save a pdf or your receipt or take a picture of it.
Upload your P2P confirmation receipt into PlanetHS/Big Teams (step 3).
Step 3. Update PlanetHS/Big Teams (Huron, CHS, ECA, WiHi)*
Please visit the Huron Athletic Department page at https://www.a2schools.org/Page/12921 or www.planeths.com to update Planet HS (now Big Teams). Both parent and student need accounts.
Everyone must MAKE SURE “Rowing-Spring” is checked in the Interested Sports section.
Everything should say "Complete" in the Athletic Form Section. Submit or complete forms for anything missing.
There is a NEW FORM this year: Player Contract to be signed by both parent and student
Once all documents are uploaded and everything is signed, you will receive notification of “Approved” from the school. If you haven't received "Approved," notification, please review your PlanetHS account to determine what needs to be completed.
*Greenhills, WTMC, other qualified non-Huron students must email a scanned copy of a recent physical exam (dated after 4/15/22) to email@example.com, if haven't done already this school year.
Step 4. US Rowing
US Rowing Waiver: Check the expiration date of your US Rowing membership at US Rowing Site. You need a valid membership through 6/5. The HRA Club Access Code is SD7DK. Our insurance is provided by US Rowing and each rower must complete an online waiver prior to rowing. You only need the Basic Membership. Waivers must be completed by a parent if the rower is under 18 years of age. Rowers over 18 may complete their own. Questions? Try this tutorial.
